Colorado is Beautiful

We are out of the deserts of NM and into the high alpine passes of Colorado. I bicycled the roads we will be on the next three days back in 1997 so the nostalgia part of the tour is starting. Over the next week or so we will cycle over some of the most famous and spectacular mountain passes of CO. Today was the first one, Wolf Creek Pass, around 10,800 ft above sea level. It's simply beautiful here.

Hi Rob! Sorry your crossing into Colorado was not the way you had envisioned. But glad you're here and hope you're feeling better. I'm enjoying your entries and the photos. Looks like an amazing journey! I will keep checking on your progress. Stay strong!

Hey Rob,
I'm so sorry you had a bad time in NM, it is one of my favorite places, but then I'm usually just doing some casual hiking and photography, not trying to go 2700 miles on a bike! Anyway, I hope you regain all your strength and don't miss any more days of your favorite areas. You need to make yourself eat whether you're hungry or not. Food is energy. I'm sure you know that. Your photos are great! Such spectacular scenery! I am very jealous! I can't wait to see the Canadian Rocky pictures, I've never been there. Take care, and keep it up! You are doing something really awesome!

You won the pool again. Knock it off. I'm adding your driver's worth up to see if you are over the limit :)

One word - Gatorade.

We're glad to here you are feeling a little better. REMAIN CALM!!! You still have plenty of time to enjoy the trail. We know you will soon be back up to speed, and we are looking forward to seeing your pictures of the Canadian Rockies.

Hi Rob,

I have created a PowerPoint with each day of your trip with the photos and maps showing where you are. I have posted it on the bulletin board at work so all can travel along with you. We are with you all the way.

Just remember the little engine that could...i think I can, i think I can, i think I can...and the miles will just click by...this coming from someone who would never try such a feat.
