Heart of the Colorado Rockies

We have now completed 10 of the 40 days. I am just now beginning to understand the magnitude of this odessey.
We are into the heart of the Colorado Rockies. Over the next 4 days we will cross the continental divide 4 times atop some of Colorado's highest and most famous passes. On Wednesday we climb from 7623 ft here in Gunnison and crest Monarch Pass (11,312 ft) to cross over onto the east side of the continental divide. On Friday we will summit Hoosier Pass (11,542 ft ) and cross back over to the west side of the divide. On Saturday we will climb back over to the east side of the divide again at Loveland Pass (11,990 ft) and then back over to the west side of the continental divide again on Berthoud Pass (11,307 ft).
The ride into Breck will mark the completion of segment 3 of 12 segments for the tour. I divided the tour into 12 segments to make the ride seem more manageable by thinking about only one segment at at a time. Actually, I am only thinking about one day at a time and right now I am just thinking about going to sleep.
