Meaning of Life
Yesterday on the way into Jackson I was simply exhausted, both physically, mentally, and spiritually, almost feeling numb. As hard as I seemed to pedal the bike, it just wouldn't go. It didn't help that we were on a false flat, that is a road that looks flat but actually has a one or two percent incline but it looks flat. I tried to take it easy as it was only a 50 mile day with 4000 ft of climbing, trying to use it as a rest day since the next day was nearly a one hundred mile day. At the top of the pass before descending into the Big Hole, I stopped for almost an hour to admire the view. I was so tired, yet so inspired by the view. I thought that the meaning of the universe would be revealed to me. Or that maybe the reason I am here, my purpose in life, why I exist, and who I am would suddenly become clear. Didn't happen, I have not a clue at all why I am here. Oh well.
