111.7 Miles

Road 111.7 miles today, the farthest I have ever ridden on a bike. Got up at 3am, loaded van by 4:30, then waited for it to get lighter so I could be seen on the road. I saw a shooting star that was a green dot streaking down from the sky. I took this meteorite as a good omen. I was quite anxious and nervous about todays ride. I had never ridden this far and worried about headwinds. I started riding at 4:58am and by 8:30 had already made it 50 miles. Then I just pretended that the day just started and I only had to ride 65 miles. I finished at 1:30, 8 and one half hours later. Tomorrow we ride to Radium Hot Springs and into the Canadian Rockies.
