Bow Lake
About 30 miles from the begining of the Icefields Parkway is Bow Lake. The Bow valley was once filled with a super massive glacier 15,000 years ago. As the massive glacier melted and receded, it carved out the Bow Valley. Now glaciers only exist at higher elevations and where they are shielded part of the day from the sun's warm rays.
