Crowfoot Glacier
The glacier gets it's name from the shape of a crow's claw. Funny thing is, that a raven was hanging out in the scenic turnout I took this photo from. Ravens are members of the crow family, just very large. When I stopped here last year, there were also two ravens here. I wonder if this guy was one of the ones from last year. Ravens are smart, they stake out a territory and defend it. This raven must have been very dominant as he staked out a turnout where food from tourists was probably very plentyful. Crows are so smart that they have been known to drop nuts on roads so cars will drive over the nuts and break open the nuts for them.
