Palm Tree

Why is this palm tree in my room in Canada? I think it's called a Dragon Palm, I have two in my front yard. I had another strange coincidence today. While I was waiting in line at customs to enter Canada, the car in front of me had a Florida license plate and some sticker from Lake Wales. At first I didn't think anything of it, as we are right next to the world famous Prince of Wales Hotel. Then I noticed the Florida license plate. The plate was an unusual one, there was a turtle on it. I always thought it was odd to put endangered species on license plates, like the Florida Panther, since automobiles are one reason they are endagered.
