Strongest Day

Today was the most strong and powerful I ever felt on a bike. Perhaps it was all the excitement and adrenaline from knowing I was heading into the Canadian Rockies. The morning started out with a seven mile climb at 7 percent. Then descending from Sinclair Pass I saw one of the most amazing sights I have ever seen. Ten cyclists all evenly spaced out descending at about 40 miles an hour, just gliding down the pass. It was a beautiful sight. At the bottom of the pass I caught up with all of them. Next thing I knew I was leading a paceline of the group. These were folks who usually finished hours ahead of me each day. I felt so lstrong and powerfull. Then we ran into a strong headwind for the next 40 miles and also mostly uphill. The day ended up be the most difficult day of the tour, 85 miles with over 8,500 feet of climbing and a strong headwind from 10:30 to 4:30 when we finished. I picked a good day to feel soo strong as I rode out front to break the wind and helped two other ride
rs draft behin me to help them finish the ride.
